Stack Overflow Quotes Our Founder Max Brown

Hiring managers spend a lot of time preparing for interviews when they are hiring potential future colleagues and friends. A lot of effort is spent focusing on determining which questions we think will give the most insight into the candidate’s background, culture fit, and skill set.

However, every conversation is a two-way street. So it makes a lot of sense to consider what questions developers wish hiring managers would ask. Stack Overflow quotes our founder Max Brown who points out that developers like to iterate and improve everything they touch. Therefore, a request he hears a lot from candidates is “What feedback do you have on the technical test you just took?” Continuing the thought of a two-way street, “These questions would be beneficial to both parties because they encourage open communication and feedback – two key aspects of a happy and productive team.”
